The FHNW Academy of Art and Design’s IT services are integrated in the IT which backs the Academy in its digital transformation. Apart from furnishing the basic technologies it offers knowledge-intensive guidance and provides innovative technologies for education, research, advanced training and service provision.
The Center is divided into three units:
The Creative Workplace is the first point of contact, providing support and advice to the Academy’s students and staff members.
The unit Innovation Technology deals with the complex infrastructures required for teaching and research at the Academy.
The Digital Matter Lab is where knowledge transfer and counselling take place. It is here where digital knowledge worlds are modelled and the sustainability concepts and research in the context of the Academy’s archival work are developed.
For this purpose the IT is not only a service provider but also a vital partner in research and implementation projects.
