The Strategic Initiative "Entrepreneurship" aims to promote entrepreneurial thinking and action ‒ among the students and employees of all disciplines at the FHNW, but also beyond this within industry and so-ciety in northwestern Switzerland. At present, northwestern Switzerland occupies one of the lowest posi-tions in Switzerland with regard to the founding of new companies. The initiative seeks to change this.
In concrete terms, the FHNW aims to contribute increasingly and visibly to company start-ups, innovation within existing companies and the preservation of existing/creation of new jobs.

The projects of the Strategic Initiative "Entrepreneurship" are designed in such a way that the work per-formed can be integrated into the everyday work of the participating schools after the three-year project is complete. This safeguards the long-term promotion of the FHNW as the university that promotes entre-preneurial thinking and action.
