The Kunst Kann CAS opens up new perspectives on participants‘ own artistic work and shared creative endeavours with others. Participants will be introduced to creative educational strategies and learn to make creative debates effective for social processes. The topics offered integrate methods from the fields of education, the fine arts, arts education, performance and other participatory practices, and can be put together to make a personalised continuing education programme. This CAS has a modular structure and allows participants to tailor the continuing education programme to meet their individual needs. The Kunst kann CAS is carried out with experienced mediators, HGK lecturers and qualified artists from the independent scene.

The CAS programme is open to persons with a university entrance qualification.
Participants will gain experiences navigating their own forms of artistic expression and learn to structure artistic and creative processes. They will acquire skills that prepare them to deal adeptly with various methods, digital and otherwise, for teaching art and design as well as how to apply them in social practice. They will learn to kick-start debates on creative processes in various social structures by way of artistic and educational strategies. They will deepen their knowledge of various communication and digital skills, and acquire know-how about networking art and education with a variety of target groups. Finally, participants will gain experiences that help them integrate artistic and cultural processes as open and experimental processes into their work.
No prior artistic or technical experience is required. The workshops are open to all people who work in social contexts: people who teach, mediators, social work professionals from the healthcare sector, healthcare assistants, coaches, team builders, and people interested in art, design and culture, among others.
Alternating weeklong modules, each worth 2 ECTS credits, are offered during the Summer and Winter School workshop weeks. Participants can complete the modules individually, based on their interest.
