Using the tools of science fiction and digital storytelling, the possibilities of Web 3.0 with its digital spaces are explored to develop stories and to address questions related to the future development of technologies. In the workshop, we will discover the exhibition on the topic of the "Metaverse" at the HEK, learn methods of storytelling and exciting science fiction, develop a story, and present it with digital means (e.g., Twine). To do this, we work together with pro-fessional artists and mediators. The Internet has changed a lot in the last decades. In connection with the current develop-ment of the so-called Web 3.0, a decentralized internet based on blockchain and promising more self-determination, ethical and sustainable thinking is becoming increasingly important.
The workshop is organized by HEK educators Patricia Huijnen and Isabella Maund, and facili-tated by artist-educator Andrea Fortmann. Inputs from professional artists in the fields of digital storytelling and science fiction are yet to be announced.
Andrea Fortmann *1991 in Solothurn, works in installation, performance, and new media. The basis of the artistic exploration is the artist's analog and virtual everyday life and the highlight-ing of the phenomena, patterns, and strategies she recognizes in it. The artist explores these observations through associative Internet research or performative re-enactment with her own body. Andrea Fortmann works as a freelance artist, collaborator for exhibitions and events in off-spaces, and as a freelancer for guided tours and workshops at HEK and Actioncy GmbH, Lucerne.
