As part of the continuing education offerings in the area of "Circular Design Processes and Practices", two continuing education courses are offered that relate to each other but can be attended independently (no building course content). The winter course focuses on services and business models in the context of Circular Design. The summer course will focus on physical products created under the criteria of circularity.
The five-day winter workshop "Business Models and Services for the Circular Economy" is aimed at practicing designers who want to follow the principles of the Circular Economy and are specifically interested in the complementary aspects around circular products.
As an introduction, we will visit a Swiss manufacturer who is already practically testing the closing of loops. The course continues with a problem-oriented and critical introduction to the basics and principles of the circular economy. Thinking in terms of business models and their role in the Circular Economy will be introduced.
As a core topic for economic success and customer centricity in the Circular Economy, the participants then deal with product-service systems. We will go into more depth on service design and take-back systems.
