General information
The new CAS course “Curating Contemporary Music” is dedicated to professionalizing the curatorial practice of musicians, dramaturges, music educators, musicologists, producers, music journalists, etc. Internationally-renowned curators impart their knowledge and practical experience in the context of currently relevant social issues and discourses. The course also includes practice-oriented curatorial work on selected projects from the Festival ZeitRäume Basel - Biennale for New Music and Architecture (September 2021). Very good knowledge of the contemporary music scene is a prerequisite for participation.

Admission requirements
Bachelor's degree in music performance, composition, music education, musicology, cultural management, cultural studies or in a discipline relevant to contemporary music (e.g. theater, dance, visual arts). Very good knowledge of the contemporary music scene is required. The course is subject to a fee of CHF 3'400.-
