The digital transformation of our society and economy has led to a tremendous increase of available data such as data from product sensors, GPS mapping, internet and social media usage, customer behaviour. As the result, managers need to know how to acquire, store and use data effectively and efficiently. The module introduces students to processes and tools of value extraction from data. Students will be able to systematically use quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques in order to analyse (big) data and text needed to support near- or real-time business decision-making and tested business solutions.
