After graduating from high school with majors in mathematics, German and music, Birgit Leber studied German language and literature and economics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, graduating with a Magister Artium in 2011. Afterwards, she worked in the field of concert and tour management and booking at a Munich concert agency. There she organized and supervised concerts for small ensembles up to tours for large opera productions throughout the German-speaking countries.
In addition to her full-time job, she also studied part-time cultural and media management at the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg. For her Master of Arts, which she received in 2015, she dealt with the topic of change management in cultural enterprises in her final thesis.
Since 2015, Birgit Leber has been working at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis as a concert and project organizer. Her tasks include the organization of workshops, master classes, orchestra and opera productions as well as conferences and symposia. At the same time, she is responsible for the SCB's web presence and social media channels.
