• Dr. Christof Nägele was elected as chairperson and link convenor of the VETNET (European network von vocational education and training) together with Prof. Dr. Barbara E. Stalder (PH Bern), at the ECER, the yearly congress of the European Educational Research Association (EERA), 23.-26.8.2016. 

• Appointed as visiting scientist at the Institute Technology and Education at the University of Bremen, 10.2.2016

• Member of the Editorial Advisory Boards of the International Journal for Research in Vocational Education and Training (IJRVET).
