About the MAKEathon

Turn real-world challenges into AI prototypes!

MAKE stands for Machine leArning and Knowledge Engineering. The MAKEathon is a two-day innovation event where students, professionals, researchers, and domain experts collaborate to develop AI prototypes to address real-world challenges from business and society.

The MAKEathon is an onsite event. Registration is required.

What makes the MAKEathon different?

The MAKEathon combines the pattern-recognition capabilities of Machine Learning – including generative AI – with explicit domain knowledge, rules, and relationships. Together, these approaches enable teams to develop AI solutions that learn from data while also incorporating domain expertise and real-world constraints.

Collaborate. Experiment. Make.

Over two days, teams explore a challenge, shape a solution, build a prototype, and present it. The focus is on interdisciplinary collaboration, hands-on experimentation, and learning from one another.
