90 Minutes Q&A at HyperWerk: Sensing the body and beyond

90 Minutes Q&A at HyperWerk: Sensing the body and beyond – A talk with Vasiliki Tsaknaki und Sophie Kellner

Sophie and Vasiliki will talk about their experiences of working with soft electronics, textiles and the body and present projects that problematize the notion of “liveliness”, through questions such as: what are the boundaries of the body? Are electronic circuits/technological materials living entities? Can “softness” of electronic circuits/technological materials help in thinking critically and collaboratively about the coexisting companionship of bodies and materials?

Each will do a 20 min presentation that will reflect on these and similar questions by presenting projects and experiences of their own work. The presentations will be followed by a dialogue between the two, in the form of a short interview that is expected to reveal more nuances about these topics, and slowly transition into an open invitation for everyone attending to ask questions, and share opinions and thoughts.

This talk is part of the module solve/produce in the course of study Process Design at HyperWerk, curated by Rasso Auberger.
