Master Talk with Sjef van Gaalen and Markéta Dolejšová

Sjef van Gaalen is a Rotterdam-based design researcher working under the name Structure & Narrative.

His current work focuses on the generation and exploration of narratives of futurity for illustrative and strategic purposes, with a particular interest towards instigation and investigation of developments in the field of regenerative ecology. His research combines methods from future studies and design, creating visions of possible futures with participants, and generating transition narratives coupling these to actionable strategic objectives.

Markéta Dolejšová is a design researcher with a background in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Food Studies. Her research combines the methods and techniques of Research through Design (RtD) with ethnography to investigate the growing role of digital and bio-technologies in everyday human-food practices. She is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Faculty of Social and Economic Studies, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University, and a research fellow in New Media Studies at the Charles University (CZ).
