I am a new scientific associate at the Institute of Bioenergy and Resource Efficiency. I will be working until the end of 2025 on the Innosuisse Project titled BioPhosRec which aims to improve the recycling of waste materials as fertilizers. From next January, I will also study the mobility of microplastics in soils within the framework of the SNF-funded MIRACLE project.

I did my undergraduate studies at the Chemistry Department of the University of Rome Sapienza.

In 2013 I joined a Marie Curie project about Geological Carbon Sequestration. In 2017 I was awarded a Ph.D and I started my first Postdoc experience at University of Granada. Since 2018, I live in Switzerland. During the first three years, I have been working at the Institute of Geological Sciences of the University of Bern. In the last two years I have been a member of the Laboratory for Waste Management (LES) at Paul Scherrer Institute.

My major research interests are mineral characterizations and mineral-water interaction, with a particular focus on solid solution-aqueous solution systems.
