The Electronic Studio Basel is joining the Mesh Festival of HGK and HEK (October 16-20)

From October 16–20, festival Mesh dedicated to digital art and technology, takes places, in the Dreispitz Area, between the halls of HEK and HGK. The festival opens on October 16 with performances by Nonotak and Spime.IM. Entrance is free for these concerts. Program includes exhibitions, panels, workshops and concerts. Electronic Studio Basel (ESB) is joining the festival with co-curating the music program and organising the Club night on October 19, preceded with an artist talk with Beatrice Dillon a day before at the campus of the Basel Academy of Music.
ESB will present student works in the installation format, and as the first part of the evening, audio-visual performance by our graduate student Tim Shatnyy (photo) will take place. This performance is signalling release of his album Beyond Dualism on a label Resonance Moscow. In the second part of the evening, we will hear a live set by Beatrice Dillon, London-based artist and music producer working with sound, performance and installation. Her last solo album Workaround (PAN, 2020) was named ‘Album of the Year’ by The Wire Magazine. The concerts are followed with DJ set.
On October 18, all interested students are invited to Klaus Linder-Saal to the artist talk by Beatrice Dillon. In this talk, she will present her artistic practice, followed by a discussion moderated by Svetlana Maraš, and Q&A with the audience.
