Embedded Systems Design Laboratory 2
advanced
The modules “Digital Communication”, “Embedded Systems Software Design” and “Microcontroller Systems Programming” are part of the foundation for future engineers in the field of Embedded Systems Design. This lab combines these theoretical modules in a practical way. It allows the analysis and implementation of engineering tasks from the following areas:
Part Digital Communication:
- spectral analysis
- identification of systems using random signals
- adaptive systems
- digital modulation methods
Part Embedded Systems Software Design and Microcontroller Systems Programming:
- practical work with microcontrollers and embedded Linux
- real-time control and regulation of actuators
- sampling of sensors
- I/O with Linux and connection to the web
Part Digital Communication:
- The students can analyze tasks from the field of digital communication under supervision and develop solutions.
- They can implement a solution from the above-mentioned areas of digi-tal communication in a suitable way, for example on a Field Program-mable Gate Array (FPGA) or Digital Signal Processor (DSP).
- The students will be able to design and implement an application with real-time and non-real-time features.
- With the connection via embedded Linux, the students learn to analyze I/O and implement solutions in code on microcontrollers and embedded Linux and to integrate them into web applications.
Part Digital Communication:
- Digital Communication (dcom), simultaneous attendance
Part Embedded Systems Software Design and Microcontroller Systems Pro-gramming:
- Embedded System Software Design (ebssd), simultaneous attendance
- Workshop Linux and Web Technologies (wlw)
- Microcontroller Systems Programming (mspr)
