      Overview
This course is geared towards engineers focusing on the practical application of AI in technical writing. Engineers must communicate complex technical concepts with clarity and precision, whether in technical reports, specifications, manuals, or research papers. This course equips students with AI-driven tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, and DeepL to streamline technical documentation, enhance accuracy, and improve efficiency in written communication. Participants will learn how to integrate AI into their writing while ensuring transparency, accountability, and responsible use of AI-generated content. The course covers best practices for AI-assisted writing, including fact-checking, bias awareness, and maintaining authorship integrity when using AI tools for research, drafting, editing, formatting, and managing documentation. By the end of the course, students will be able to leverage AI to produce clear, structured, and professional technical documents, optimizing their writing processes without compromising on precision, ethics, or professional integrity. This is a student-driven course with no formal lectures, where the lecturer acts as a coach, guiding students through independent learning and application.
