We apply research for the benefit of our commissioning partners. As a University of Applied Sciences we evaluate the current status of research in terms of its practical usefulness. We think in terms of solutions and products for our partners. We facilitate knowledge exchange in our specialist areas among interested experts. In this way, we transfer knowledge and create a network within which we can develop our research further. The Institute for Finance is working on current research questions in the fields of accounting, auditing and controlling as well as banking and finance. Our research activities are reflected in our national and international cooperation. In this way we gain cutting edge expertise from which Swiss businesses and public administrations benefit directly.  

Businesses, institutions and public administrations welcome our support. We develop consulting products from our research and lecturing activities – often in conjunction with other institutes in the FHNW.
