    The MBA-MCI programme has been developed by FHNW based on the existing MBA programme of FHNW (90 ECTS; European Credit Transfer System), which is ongoing since 1992. It has been established as a cooperation between the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. The MBA-MCI is delivered at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

    We cover three main pillars of competency, which are Management Consulting, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. We aim to:

    • Improve and sharpen essential leadership skills for CEOs or managers in the Economy 4.0
    • Review and improve the knowledge of leadership’s business management.
    • Build and enhance domestically and internationally potential business network.

    The programme covers all relevant aspects of general management and international management consulting, ranging from management consulting principles to the individual phases of the consulting process to strategic management consulting. A second focus is on innovation and entrepreneurship.

    • Anyone involved in leading others or having the intention to raise their level of management and business consulting effectiveness
    • Consulting experts, leaders of consulting companies
    • Corporate leaders (CEO, CIO, COO etc.)

    • Anyone aspiring to become a manager or an international management consultant
    • IT consultants, tax consultants, business and financial auditors
    • Innovation managers and entrepreneurs / intrapreneurs

    The MBA-MCI follows the tradition of the long-standing MBA of FHNW School of Business. It puts more emphasis on consulting and entrepreneurship to meet the needs of the specific target group.

    The course content includes 10 modules and 1 master thesis.
    The lectures are held during the first 3 semester at the premises of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, distributed on weekends and in the evenings. The dissertation is written in the 4th semester in Ho Chi Minh City. Students can opt for spending this phase in Switzerland (additional fee applies).

    On the basis of the competence-oriented programme goals, the following requirements have been established for admission to the MBA-MCI programme:

    Formal Entry Qualifications:

    • University degree

    Experience:

    • 3 years of professional experience in consulting or
    • 3 years of experience in project management or
    • 3 years of managerial experience

    Further requirements for admission to the MBA-MCI programme include:

    • The potential to achieve programme goals.
    • The fit between the candidate’s motivation for the executive education program (e.g., their career goals) with the programme goals.
    • The candidate’s knowledge of the English language (at least IELTS 6.0 or equivalent)
