Christian Weber

Christian has extensive experience in both the business world and higher education, particularly in the areas of organizational development, project management, and teaching. Since February 2025, he has been leading university operations at the FHNW University of Applied Sciences in Computer Science. In this role, he is responsible for strategic and operational tasks in the areas of university development, marketing and communications, as well as networking with internal and external partners.

After completing his studies in Business Economics with a focus on Finance at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) and a semester abroad at Stockholm University, Christian gained extensive experience in the financial sector. He worked in corporate banking, in the area of collaboration, and as COO of a private equity firm. At the same time, he completed a Master of Advanced Studies in Corporate Finance at FHNW. In his second course of study, he deepened his expertise in history, political science, and Digital Humanities at the University of Basel. Additionally, he obtained a teaching diploma for high schools with a focus on history at the Lucerne University of Teacher Education and expanded his competencies in the areas of didactics and university teaching. At the University of Basel, he worked as a Research Associate and Head of Teaching a.i. in the Digital Humanities Lab, taking on scientific and administrative responsibilities while contributing to teaching in the Master's program in Digital Humanities.
