Digital interfaces for people and processes
Interaktion, Immersion und intelligente Systeme
We are a multidisciplinary computer science institute at the FHNW School of Computer Science. In close collaboration with industry and business, we design innovative concepts for interactive systems in the broadest sense. In doing so, we not only research and develop novel interface solutions, interaction mechanisms and immersive environments. We also develop new methods in requirements engineering, gain insights through intelligent data visualisations, and automate processes using image recognition and image generation.
In numerous research projects, we have demonstrated how powerful and user-friendly algorithms and solutions in these fields can significantly influence the success of companies.
In teaching, we are involved in the Bachelor of Science FHNW in Computer Science, Data Science, and in Computer Science – Profile Design and Management
In addition, students in our specialisation Spatial Computing within the Bachelor of Science FHNW in Computer Science acquire competences in Extended Reality, simulation, real-time computer graphics, human–computer interaction, physics and game development.
