- Practical professional experience in the deinstitutionalisation and community integration of people with cognitive disabilities (KPK Wil); Head of the Agogics Department at Brühlgut Foundation (Winterthur); Co-Head of the Living Environments Unit (Zurich)
- Research Assistant at the Institute of Special Education, University of Zurich
- Extensive training and continuing education in challenging behaviour, violence prevention, de-escalation, prevention of sexual boundary violations, sexuality and disability, and qualification as an accredited consultant of the Bündner Standard Foundation
- Long-standing member of two strategic boards of disability support service organisations
