Flow Pressure, Milan Design Week
«Flow Pressure» is a large scale pneumatic structure by the Institute of Integrative Design | Masterstudio, inflated with compressed Swiss mountain air.
The site-specific installation catalyzes a critical, yet playful reflection around socio-economic forms of modern life – bubbles – translating their abstract iterations eg. filter bubble, environmental bubble, economic bubble in a physical and interactive experience.
Attracting visitors with the opportunity to take a breath of fresh mountain air during the frantic Milan Design Week, «Flow Pressure» exposes the ambiguity of bubbles as illusions of safe havens, escapes from the complexities of modern life and the implausible and inconsistent promises about the future they carry.
