Creative Technologies Lab

In the Creative Technologies Lab of the Institute Digital Communication Environments, cutting-edge soft and hardware tools in the field of digital media are tested, explained, and implemented.

The Lab is tasked with scouting for technological developments that have the potential of developing impact on different digital communication environments. It provides support in complex teaching projects, advanced training, research, as well as the service sector. Technologies such as eye tracking, virtual and augmented reality, physical computing, and deep learning are employed in close collaboration with the Media Workshop and the Workshop for Rapid Prototyping. The interfaces of emerging new technologies and older digital techniques are also the subject of experimental investigation at the Creative Technologies Lab, especially from the point of view of creativity.
