Realising projects together

Together, we can transfer our knowledge and expertise from research to industry and support your company with complex issues in the field of thermal and fluid engineering.

Depending on the issue at hand, various options are available for collaboration – from student projects to multi-year research projects.

Student projects
Projects for semester’s, bachelor's and master's theses in the mechanical engineering program offer an ideal opportunity for cooperation. We define the scope of the project together. The students work on the project under the supervision of lecturers and research assistants. Active involvement of the company is desired. Further information on student projects.

Preliminary studies
We support business and industry partners in clarifying the feasibility of project ideas. We contribute our expertise and develop innovative solutions.

Research projects
In research projects with partners from business and industry, we develop solutions for specific issues in application-orientated research. To ensure the transfer of knowledge and technology, we work closely with the employees of the partner company.

Service projects
In addition to research projects, we also carry out service projects with our expertise and measurement technology. Depending on the issue, we prepare suitable offers after clarifying the objectives.

Funding institutions and financing
In addition to direct funding from the industrial partner, application-orientated research projects can also be supported by various subsidies. Depending on the project, cantonal, national, and international institutions offer funding. We are happy to support you in identifying suitable funding organisations and preparing the corresponding research applications.
