The current fees at the Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW are based on the FHNW fee regulations:
All invoices are available to students from the start of the semester under the “My invoices” tab on Inside. (AAI login required)
The application fee (incl. aptitude assessment and enrollment) is CHF 200.-
The standard semester fee of CHF 750.- per semester applies to Swiss students, students who have their civil residence in Switzerland at the start of their studies, students who provide proof that their parents have their civil residence in Switzerland at the start of their studies as well as refugees of legal age and stateless persons with civil residence in Switzerland.

Here you can find the process and the form for applications to reduce the semester fees.
A diploma fee of CHF 300.- is payable on completion of your studies in the final semester.
During your studies, you may incur further costs, e.g. for excursions, literature, etc.
We recommend that all students prepare a budget for the entire duration of their studies before beginning their program. If you find that you are unable to cover the total costs, you have the option to apply for a scholarship. Please submit your scholarship application to the canton in which you or your parents have been tax-resident during the past two years.
