Game Designer:

You examine the behavior, needs and motivations of users to influence the design of meaningful, user-oriented digital products and experiences.

Structure and content

During your studies in the field of Game Technologies and Extended Reality at FHNW, you will acquire a solid foundation in computer science with a focus on these two subject areas. From the very first semester, you will take specialized modules in these fields.

At the heart of the program is a project-based approach that enables you to gain hands-on experience in solving real-world problems. Over the course of several semesters, you will work on authentic challenges from our industry partners and develop solutions within your projects. The projects in the fifth and sixth semesters represent the highlights of the program, offering you the opportunity to dive deep into the fields of Games and XR.

Your studies are complemented by context-related courses in areas such as ethics, business, and languages.

As an added bonus, the specialization offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in an English-speaking professional environment with international lecturers and project partners.
