Software developer:
You implement and maintain software solutions that solve real problems efficiently and reliably.
Computer graphics developer:
You create and optimize visual content, rendering techniques and real-time graphics for interactive and immersive applications.
Computer Vision Engineer:
You develop algorithms and systems that allow computers to interpret and understand visual information from the world.
Game Developer:
You create and implement interactive games, combining technology, creativity and storytelling to create immersive experiences.
Game Designer:
You design the concepts, rules and structures of games and design how players interact, experience challenges and have fun.
UI/UX Designer:
You design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that improve user interaction and satisfaction on digital platforms.
UX Researcher:
You examine the behavior, needs and motivations of users to influence the design of meaningful, user-oriented digital products and experiences.
During your studies in the field of Game Technologies and Extended Reality at FHNW, you will acquire a solid foundation in computer science with a focus on these two subject areas. From the very first semester, you will take specialized modules in these fields.

At the heart of the program is a project-based approach that enables you to gain hands-on experience in solving real-world problems. Over the course of several semesters, you will work on authentic challenges from our industry partners and develop solutions within your projects. The projects in the fifth and sixth semesters represent the highlights of the program, offering you the opportunity to dive deep into the fields of Games and XR.
Your studies are complemented by context-related courses in areas such as ethics, business, and languages.
