- The quality of corporate governance as an influencing factor in a company’s economic success (2007-2010)
The results of more recent economic research suggest that the quality of corporate governance of a business has a positive influence on its economic success. The problem is that the studies concerned are cross-sectional, not longitudinal. Only longitudinal studies conducted over a timespan of several years can deliver a clearer imagine in this context. The aim of this research project is to measure the quality of companies’ corporate governance over several years to be able to make reliable statements about the interconnection between different factors. Pension funds and other institutional investors are interested in the connection between corporate governance and economic performance for reasons of profitability.
