    Profile

    Marianne Hürzeler is lecturer for organic and medicinal chemistry at the FHNW, School of Life Sciences in Muttenz/Basel since 1995. Together with her research team, she works on several funded research and development projects with different small and medium sized partners from industry as well as with start up’s, universities and governmental institutions. Her focus is on organic synthesis in the lab scale, organometallic chemistry, peptide chemistry, feasibility studies, design and development of synthetic processes.

    She performed her PhD thesis at the University of Zurich (1986-1990) in the research group of Prof. Dr. A. Vasella and worked as research chemist with F. Hoffmann-La Roche (1990-1995).
