Vanessa Göttle is a media designer and particularly interested in open-ended design processes independent of media. Following an internship at a design agency in Bremen, she decided on this career path and completed her BA in Media Design in a dual study programme at DHBW Ravensburg, which combines theory and practice. She then worked for two years as a Creative Lead at a manufacturer’s of cycling clothes in Freiburg im Breisgau and as a media designer and videographer at the EU Parliament in Brussels.
In February 2021, Vanessa Göttle founded the format “Zwischenraum” (live podcast and network) together with three friends and former fellow students, which reflects her understanding of design not only as a creative field of work and re-search, but also as a designable social context.
She then moved to Basel to complete a Master's degree in Digital Communication Environments (formerly Visual Commu-nication and Iconic Research) at HGK Basel. Since graduating in 2023, Vanessa Göttle has been working part-time at the Institute Digital Communication Environments IDCE. Since starting her Master's degree, she has been working as a free-lance designer and copywriter alongside her work at HGK Basel.
