MSc and PhD students from the University of Bologna

Chiara Baldazzi, Emma Becattini and Giorgia Benati are MSc and PhD students from the University of Bologna, currently doing research at the FHNW in the group of Prof. Philippe Corvini.
Chiara is doing her MSc thesis internship on bacterial strains capable of removing pharmaceutical contaminants from wastewater. She aims to strengthen her laboratory skills and gain new experimental expertise in environmental biotechnology.
Emma is a visiting PhD student, advancing her doctoral research and developing new methodological approaches for the valorization of fruit by-products. She is interested in expanding her perspectives on international scientific collaboration, particularly in microbiology.
Giorgia is also a visiting PhD student whose work focuses on the extraction and characterization of bioactive peptides from agricultural waste. With this collaboration she wants to enrich her knowledge while contributing to her academic and professional development.
We’re delighted to have the three of them at the Institute for Chemistry and Bioanalytics.
