Working group
Cell Biology and in vitro Toxicology (Laura Suter-Dick)
Job title
Master’s student
Tasks at FHNW
I am differentiating human induced pluripotent stem cells into hepatic stellate cells and characterizing them on molecular and functional levels. I establish 2D and 3D culture models, assess their responses to pro-fibrotic stimuli and AAVs, and compare them with established stellate cell models.
Work background/studies
I completed my bachelor’s degree in bioanalytics and cell biology at the FHNW in Muttenz, where I wrote my thesis in the field of microbiology. After working for a start-up company in the field of microbiology, I began my master’s degree in cell biology at the FHNW. At the same time, I gained experience with iPSCs, particularly with kidney cells.
