Kambiz Shafei is a graphic designer and photographer based in Basel, Switzerland. After studying computer sciences in Iran, he studied visual communication at HGK in Basel where he is a lecturer for photography today. In 2010 Kambiz founded his studio in Basel. Studio Shafei works in different fields of visual communication collaborating closely with cultural institutions, artists and architects. Shafei’s photography and research focuses on architectonic material presences in images. He is currently a PhD Candidate at Kunstuniversität Linz in Austria.
