      Power Control

We are a competence group offering system level solutions in control, optimization, and signal processing in the fields of power systems and energy conversion.

Digitalization of the energy system and the transition towards more renewable sources bring new challenges for the power grid infrastructure. Our experienced experts work on technical, economical and management topics.

      Our mission

With our expertise, we provide system-wide digital solutions for energy systems that range from optimal system design, operation, and maintenance to improve systems life cycle performance, efficiency and cost.

      Competencies

      • System modelling, analysis, optimization, control and estimation for power and energy systems
      • Diagnostics and prognostics
      • Signal processing for energy applications
      • Power grid and power conversion control for automotive, railway systems, photovoltaic systems
      • Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation

      Selected project

      • Let the sun shine in

Markus Lenz's team is ensuring sustainability of new photovoltaic materials.

      • SHINE: Swiss Hybrid Inverter

An efficient and cost-effective X-Hybrid inverter for EV is realized by combining Silicon-Carbide (SiC) and Silicon (Si) devices.
