Activities in FHNW

Andrea Wullschleger is a Professor in the Department of Research and Development at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (School of Education). She is Head of the Centre for Research on the Professional Development of Teachers. Her expertise lies in the field of educational governance, school effectiveness, school improvement, and collaboration within and between schools.

In her current projects, she is studying: the regulation of routines within instructional teams; innovation in collaboration among educational actors on different levels of the educational system, and teacher collaboration within and between schools - all aimed at advancing teaching and learning.

Her experience as a primary school teacher, lecturer and researcher enables her to bridge the gap between research and educational practice. Drawing on this diverse background, she places great emphasis on close collaboration with stakeholders from various areas of the education system to jointly develop innovative approaches for advancing the improvement of schools and teaching.
