      Profile

      Biography

      Juxhino Kavaja received the Ph.D. degree in Information Technologies from the University of Parma, Italy, in 2021, under the supervision of Prof. Aurelio Piazzi. During his doctoral studies he spent a research period at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, in the research group of Prof. Kanat Camlibel. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree, he worked for a year as a software engineer at Meteomatics AG, St. Gallen. Since October 2023, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland , Windisch AG. He currently works in collaboration with Prof. Ishan Pendharkar (FHNW), Dr. Dimitris Kouzoupis (FHNW), and Prof. Francesco Corman (ETH) on energy-efficient train control topics.
