On May, 22nd, the nanoGroup visited the Center of Proton Therapy, at the Paul Scherrer Institute, to learn about the development and latest state of the art in this successful cancer treatment. From what we learned, it started once as the first facility in Europe with a small set up for the treatment of Uveal Melanomas in the eye and was then successfully developed for full body cancer treatment with highest target precision. The site and the view of this huge machines were truly impressive and inspiring. Many questions and discussions later we enjoyed the evening with a dinner at the local restaurant.
