About us

School of Engineering and Environment

The Institute of Bioenergy and Resource Efficiency is supported by the FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland and the Paul Scherrer Institute PSI. This collaborative partnership makes us extremely proficient in both basic and applied research.

Furthermore, we are involved in the "Energy and Environmental Technology" and "Mechanical Engineering" bachelor's degree programmes as well as the national "Master of Science in Engineering MSE" master's degree programme.

The interdisciplinary team at the Institute of Bioenergy and Resource Efficiency is made up of specialists from the fields of mechanical engineering, energy engineering, chemical engineering, physics and natural sciences.
