Agile Software Engineering: fast, smart and future-ready
Research focus areas
The transformation towards a digital economy and society is continuously increasing the demand for software. Today, software must meet rapidly changing requirements while ensuring high quality. It must be durable, flexibly adaptable and capable of continuous delivery.
Recent developments in DevOps and AI are accelerating this trend even further.
The Agile Software Engineering Lab addresses these major challenges in both applied research and development and education in the field of agile software engineering. Within our group, we research and develop methods, techniques and tools for modern, AI-supported and sustainable software engineering based on systematic engineering principles. Our research focuses on agile methods, build and test automation, DevOps, DORA metrics, agile collaboration, AI-augmented software engineering and sustainable software development.
As a co-founder and partner of the Swiss Agile Research Networks, we collaborate closely with partners and researchers in Switzerland and internationally.
In addition to attractive continuing education programmes in agile software engineering and agile methods, we offer companies various opportunities for collaboration, including consulting services and the implementation of joint projects.
We also offer interested Master’s students with a background in software development the opportunity to conduct research in the field of agile, AI-supported software engineering.
