      Lecturer, head of the AnDiCo Lab

      Field of Activity

      As head of the AnDiCo Lab, Benedikt Jäggi is responsible for development projects for and with clients from the fields of education, culture, and industry. The AnDiCo Lab focuses on all areas of visual communication, both analogue and digital. Where possible, students are involved in the projects, gaining valuable experience in applied projects.

      Additional responsi-bilities: communication tasks at IDCE, co-ordination of the MA admission procedure, teaching module Entrepreneurship (BA, MA), thesis mentoring (BA), teaching module Visualization at the FHNW School of Business.

      Biography

      Benedikt Jäggi (1978) completed his Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication at the Basel FHNW Academy of Art and Design and the Glasgow School of Art. This followed his initial training as a elementary-school teacher and several years of professional experience in the education and social sectors. He completed his Master's degree (Visual Communication and Iconic Research at HGK Basel FHNW) in 2013, with a Master's thesis focussing on experimental orientation aids for urban space.

      After working in various positions at graphic design studios (burson-marsteller Bern, design identity Zurich, neko Basel, o-street Glasgow), Benedikt Jäggi has been working at the Institute Digital Communication Environments (IDCE) since 2009.
