      Photonics Laboratory FHNW

In the Photonics Laboratory, we develop and validate sensors based on free beam and fiber optics with ultraviolet to infrared light.

      Our offer

We develop and validate optical sensors together with partners from industry and research.

      • We collect ideas and develop physical concepts to measure the desired parameters optically, mechanically, electrically, acoustically or in combination.
      • We develop concept and technology demonstrators as well as sensor prototypes and support processes in product development.
      • We test your sensor prototypes under controlled laboratory conditions as well as in the field and develop suitable evaluation methods to optimize sensor performance, stability and reliability.
      • We also offer you technical advice on issues relating to optics, mechanics, electronics and signal processing.

In addition to funded projects (e.g. Innosuisse), we are also happy to take on direct orders.
