OPEN CALL für den ersten Basler Processing Community Day

Processing ist eine kostenlose open-source Software-Plattform für das Programmieren von Bildern, Animation oder Sound. Es wurde speziell für Kunst- und Designschaffende entwickelt.

Am 9. Februar 2019 findet in Basel erstmals der PROCESSING COMMUNITY DAY statt. Hierzu lädt das Kollektiv basel.codes ins HeK Haus der elektronischen Künste und an die Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst FHNW.
Zu diesem Anlass sind wir auf der Suche nach Gestalter*innen und Kunstschaffenden in der gesamten Schweiz, die Processing oder p5.js nutzen.
Möchtest du in einer kurzen Präsentation darüber berichten, wie Du damit arbeitest? Oder hast Du Zeit und Interesse einen Workshop anzubieten?

Melde Dich bis zum 20. Januar bei basel.codes. basel.codes ist ein Zusammenschluss von Programmierer*innen 👾👩👨💻, Künstler*innen 👨🎨👩🎨 und Designer*innen🧞♂🧞♀💻, die am kreativen 🌈 Potential von Code interessiert sind.

Processing is a free and open-source software platform for learning how to code within the context of the visual arts, created by Casey Reas and Ben Fry. It is complemented by a web version, called p5.js, created by Lauren McCarthy. To date, Processing and p5.js are used by a worldwide community of artists, coders, educators, students. The first Processing Community Day (PCD), organized by Taeyoon Choi and the Processing Foundation in 2017, expanded efforts to improve diversity within the art and programming community.

The event will take place Feburary 9th, 2019, for the first time in Basel, at the HeK Haus der elektronischen Künste and the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst FHNW.

We're looking for people throughout the Swiss community who use Processing in any number of ways. Would you like to give a 10min (max) presentation about one way you've used it, or offer a workshop to the community? Deadline: Midnight, 20th of January 2019
