The Peva Project began in 2024 as Victoria Juretko's master's thesis, exploring how gynaecological examinations can be made more patient-centred.
The result is a novel speculum that prioritises self-determination, comfort, and dignity. After graduation, the project advanced through prototypes, clinical partnerships, and ongoing evaluation in Swiss practices and hospitals. It has now received BRIDGE Proof of Concept funding (SNF and Innosuisse), marking a key step from research into practice and strengthening the project's long-term connection with HGK Basel.
