The Institute for Finance IFF bundles the research and continuing education activities of the School of Business in the field of financial management. Two areas of competence cover key aspects of corporate financial management: Auditing, Accounting and Controlling plus Banking and Finance We deal with everything that counts.

We work with our partners from industry and public administrations to generate new knowledge. Our research addresses market needs and is always applied to practice in its focus and goals. Our portfolio of continuing education products is state of the art. A solid basis is provided, current developments are factored in, and foreseeable trends are taken into consideration. This is carried out in a variety of formats: from conferences and one-day seminars, to certificate courses (CAS) and master’s programmes (MAS). In this way continuing education creates value.

Bank Treasury Risk Management and The BTRM Certificate of Bank Treasury Risk Management

Take control of balance sheet risks and strengthen your asset and liability management and treasury expertise. CO₂ subsidies on construction investments in Switzerland

The example of Geneva is used to examine how cantonal rent regulations and CO₂ subsidies influence construction investment in the residential sector.

Hochschule für Wirtschaft FHNW erweitert ihr Studienangebot mit zwei neuen Masterstudiengängen

Der Fachhochschulrat der Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW hat 2025 die beiden neuen Masterstudiengänge Master of Science in Finance und Master of Science in Strategischem Management und Leadership genehmigt. Der Start ist für den Herbst 2026 geplant. Die beiden Studiengänge sind eine wichtige Ergänzung des Studienportfolios der Hochschule für Wirtschaft FHNW.

Forschungsbericht zu Google-Reviews von Schweizer Banken und Bankfilialen

Das junge Berner Unternehmen hypt publizierte zusammen mit der Hochschule für Wirtschaft FHNW den „hypt Report – Banking 2025“, welcher die Google-Reviews von knapp 1‘800 Schweizer Bankfilialen analysierte. In der Kategorie der grossen Banken belegt die Migros Bank (4.05), bei den mittelgrossen Banken die Aargauische Kantonalbank (4.46) und bei den kleinen Banken die Bernerland Bank (4.59) den ersten Platz.
