Your center of expertise for government, public administration, and civil society
The Institute for Nonprofit and Public Management (NPPM) is the FHNW's center of excellence for issues relating to the state, its role in society and the economy, and organizations with a social mission that are not primarily profit-oriented.
Our work focuses on scientifically sound analyses and practical solutions to current challenges in administration, politics, and civil society.
We work in an interdisciplinary manner, cooperate with partner organizations from government, business, and society, and create measurable social added value through our research and continuing education.
Our content focuses on the areas of public policy, public management and governance, as well as public value and civil society action. These topics shape all of our service areas – education, continuing education, research, and consulting.
Our continuing education courses
Our continuing education programs combine scientific findings with practical experience from administration, nonprofit organizations, and security institutions. They are aimed at specialists and managers who want to deepen their skills in a targeted manner and effectively develop their organizations.
Our research
Our research projects are at the cutting edge. Together with partners from industry, associations, and research, we implement the results effectively and thus beneficially for practical application. Our consulting services are independent, research-based, and highly effective.
