Profile

    Dr. Stephan Jüngling is a lecturer in Business Informatics at the School of Business since 2012 and is Deputy Head of the FHNW China Centre since 2020. Since participating in the Insight China Program in 2015, he has been involved in various training and professional development programs related to China.

    He teaches and conducts research on topics in the areas of Business Process Management, the application of Artificial Intelligence with a focus on Sustainable Development Goals, and Society 5.0.

    Previously, he taught as an external lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in the fields of Software Engineering and Java Design Patterns and brings many years of experience from various areas of IT. At UBS Business University, he was responsible for conducting Java Enterprise training courses and for designing role-based training portfolios for IT project managers, business analysts, and testers. He holds a Six Sigma Green Belt and is a certified Scrum Master.

    He has many years of management experience, led a Java development team, and was responsible for the setup and operation of document management platforms and projects in the areas of e-commerce and IT security, leveraging the potential of innovative technologies for the bank.

    Stephan Jüngling studied electrical engineering at ETH Zurich and earned his doctorate in the field of simulation and modeling of SAW filters. After a year of research at MIT in Boston, USA, he returned to ETH Zurich and continued his work on the modeling of optical components. He holds a teaching certificate for higher education in computer science from ETH Zurich.
