Profile
Uwe Leimstoll is a professor of Information Systems and E-Business. At the Competence Center E-Business, he works on business-related research projects, primarily on the topics "E-Commerce" and "Business Software in SMEs". He is co-author of the Business Software Study FHNW and of the E-Commerce Report Switzerland.
Uwe Leimstoll studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg (Germany) and Economics at the University of Freiburg i.Br. (Germany). For several years, he worked in classical business consulting and as a lecturer at the University of Cooperative Education, Villingen-Schwenningen (Germany). In July 2001, he received his PhD in Information Management from the Faculty of Economics (Institute for General Economic Research, Department of Information Systems, Prof. Dr. Franz Schober) of the University of Freiburg i.Br.
Uwe Leimstoll started his work at the FHNW in April 2001 as a research assistant at the Institute for Applied Business Administration (IAB) of the predecessor institution, the University of Applied Sciences of both Basel FHBB. Today he is a professor for Information Systems and E-Business at the Institute for Information Systems (IWI) of the School of Business FHNW.
