Taking International Management Beyond the Textbook, FHNW School of Business

While completing his studies, he was working as a Process Manager in the logistics sector at Swiss Post. In this role, he collaborated with international clients, developed key performance indicators and led initiatives to optimise core business processes. The dual degree experience at Singapore University of Social Sciences further sharpened his strategic thinking and deepened his intercultural understanding.

Today, he leads strategic projects and continuously applies the concepts, tools and approaches gained during his studies to drive operational excellence and contribute to business transformation in his daily work.

What was the impact of the Master’s programme on your career and thinking?
The programme helped me grow both professionally and personally. It gave me the tools to think more strategically, the mindset to lead complex projects and the confidence to step out of my comfort zone. I apply what I learned every day, whether in cross-functional collaboration or when driving process improvements in complex environments.

I chose FHNW because of its practical focus, international outlook and collaborative learning culture. What stands out are the many international elements, such as the dual degree in Singapore and international courses such as the Global Immersion Programme in the US, which included company visits and expert panels. The courses in Olten also made a lasting impression, as they were closely tied to real-world business challenges and frequently included guest speakers and insights from partner companies. The lecturers brought valuable industry experience into the classroom and were always supportive, engaged and open to discussion. That strong link between theory and practice made the experience both relevant and inspiring.

In addition, the programme helped me grow my professional network and opened doors to new opportunities that would not have been accessible to me without studying at FHNW. Being part of such a dynamic and international environment created lasting connections that continue to shape my path.
