Students from the MSc International Management at the FHNW collaborated with Pace University and several companies, including a Swiss bank, as part of an international learning experience in New York City.
From September to October 2025, 30 students explored American culture, business leadership and international management through a series of project-based tasks and field research across the city. The programme included:
- Exploring leadership and management perspectives in the U.S. business environment
- Developing creative “business superheroes” to represent key leadership qualities
- Conducting community and cultural research across New York City
- Analysing neighbourhoods shaped by African, Asian, Caribbean, European and Latin American cultures
- Investigating how cultural diversity contributes to the city’s economy and how neighbourhoods have evolved over time
Through this hands-on experience, students gained insights into international management, cultural diversity and the dynamics of one of the world’s most diverse business environments.
