Students from the MSc International Management at the FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Northwestern Switzerland collaborated with students from the Singapore University of Social Sciences as part of the Switzerland–Singapore Global Industry Immersion.
From October 2025 to January 2026, 40 master’s students worked together on international corporate projects. The collaboration began virtually before the students met on-site in Singapore in January 2026 for an intensive project phase. The projects explored a range of international business topics, including:
- National identity and economic strategy, and how cultural values influence leadership styles, stakeholder engagement and sustainable business
- Innovation, governance and competitiveness in different regulatory environments
- Entrepreneurial innovation in music education
- Edutainment as a differentiation and growth strategy combining learning, technology and customer experience
- How Swiss companies adapt to industrial contexts in the Asia-Pacific region
- Balancing business performance with environmental responsibility in global operations
- Integrated tourism strategies, business transformation and carbon neutrality in the hospitality sector
- Innovation and community impact in Singapore’s hospitality ecosystem
- Competitiveness in the seafood industry through automation, quality and scale
During the intensive programme weeks, students presented their findings and strategic recommendations as part of two major project tasks. This international collaboration offers students hands-on experience with global companies, cross-cultural teamwork and real-world business challenges.
