At the institute of optometry (FHNW) we provide over the latest optometric technological equipment that enables us to carry out in depth ocular eye examinations at high standards of care, enabling us to give well founded and individual advice. Our third year students (5th and 6th semester) carry out history and symptoms and suitable ocular examinations under supervision of experienced lecturers in our outpatients’ clinic. At this level of their training the students have completed their theoretical studies and already provide over some practical clinical experience.
